Who we are
Snow Removal Canada (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides seasonal snow clearing, de-icing and snow hauling for residential and commercial properties across the Greater Toronto Area. Our office is at 701 Green Meadow Crescent, Mississauga, Ontario L5A 2V3.
We are responsible for the personal information under our control. Our Privacy Officer can be reached at yradwan229@gmail.com or (437) 477-5488.
What we collect
When you request a quote
The quote form asks for the property type, address and city, the plan you're interested in, your name, phone number, email address and any notes. The form on this website does not send anything to our server. It composes an email in your own mail app, and nothing reaches us until you press send yourself. If you'd rather not use the form, call or email us directly.
When you become a customer
- Contract details — the service address, plan, season dates, access instructions (gate codes, where to push snow) and billing contact.
- Payment records — the amount, date and method. We never store full credit-card numbers; card payments are handled by our payment provider and e-Transfers by your bank.
- Property documentation — photos taken when we stake the driveway before the season, and photos taken after each visit to verify the work. These may incidentally show vehicles, house numbers or the exterior of the property.
- Communications — calls, texts and emails about your service, including any complaint or damage report.
When you simply browse this site
Like every web server, ours keeps standard access logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. We use them only for security and troubleshooting and they are automatically deleted after 30 days.
How we use it
- To prepare your quote, measure the property and set up your seasonal plan.
- To dispatch crews, plan routes and verify each visit with photos.
- To invoice you, process payments and keep the accounting records the law requires.
- To answer your questions, resolve complaints and handle any damage claim.
- To protect our crews, equipment and customers, including investigating misuse.
- To send service notices about your property — storm updates, schedule changes, renewal reminders. We do not send marketing newsletters unless you ask for them, and you can opt out at any time.
How long we keep it
| Information | Kept for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Quote requests that don't become a contract | Up to 12 months | So we can honour the quote and follow up once |
| Contracts, invoices and payment records | 7 years after the season | Canada Revenue Agency record-keeping rules |
| Staking and visit photos | The season plus 1 year | To settle any damage claim fairly |
| Web server logs | 30 days | Security and troubleshooting |
When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
- This website is served over HTTPS only, with modern security headers.
- Customer records are accessible only to the people who need them to do their job, on password-protected devices.
- Crews receive addresses and access notes for the current route only.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If we ever discover a breach that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
Your rights & choices
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawing consent for information we need to service your property may mean we can no longer provide the service.
- Opt out — of any non-essential message by replying stop or contacting us.
Send requests to the Privacy Officer using the details below. We respond within 30 days and there is no charge. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Our services are contracted by adults and this website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will post the new policy here with a new effective date. Significant changes affecting existing customers will also be sent by email.
